The RSW Law Firm is a boutique law firm founded by Russell Warren, a former Prosecutor, Army Veteran and West Point graduate. Russell founded the firm based upon the idea that honesty, client service, and communication should be the basic foundations of any lawyer-client relationship. One of the main tenets of our law firm is that we are available and communicative. We do not send your phone call to an answering service and we strive to keep an open communication dialogue with our clients.

By sticking to our principles of open and timely communication, the RSW Law Firm has grown significantly, almost exclusively through “word of mouth” advertising. We are blessed that our client list now consists of hunting guides and outfitters, people that have been injured due to the negligence of others and those involved in land transactions or litigation throughout New Mexico.

Our firm has handled everything from large personal injury litigation, hunting and fishing violations, real estate disputes, and large ranch and land transactions. We believe that the best advertising is our former clients and have included testimonials on our site for that reason.

ATTORNEYS

Founding Attorney
Russell S. Warren, III is an attorney and licensed real estate broker in New Mexico. He started his career as an enlisted Infantry Rifleman, serving in Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division. Russell eventually commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer from the United States Military Academy and served with the 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Russell’s legal career began as a state prosecutor in New Mexico, where he prosecuted felony cases in Grants, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe. Russell was selected to become the lead attorney in the H.I.D.T.A federal task force on drug trafficking in Region III, northern New Mexico. After almost twelve years of public service, Russell joined the private sector at the oldest law firm in New Mexico, Catron, Catron, & Glassman, where he specialized in estate planning, asset protection and real estate.

Russell left the law firm of Catron, Catron, & Glassman and founded the RSW Law Firm with the goal of helping New Mexicans solve their legal issues. Russell lives in Santa Fe, NM with his wife and young son. In his free time, Russell enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, spending time at his ranch, and chasing elk. Of course, he is also very passionate about his two favorite college football teams Army and Texas Tech. Associate Attorney
Jake Scalisi is a dedicated attorney at RSW Law Firm in New Mexico, where he was barred in 2026. With a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science, Jake brings hands-on experience from roles in legal research, discovery, trial preparation, and document drafting across personal injury, real estate, and regulatory matters.

Outside the office, Jake’s a proud dog dad to his pugs Harvey and Luci, and he loves hitting the trails off-roading. A former stand-up comic with a passion for history and archery, he’s also an award-winning advocate from his law school trial competition days.

His unique blend of practical experience, advocacy skills, and down-to-earth personality helps him connect with clients and fight for their best outcomes.
